Re: Saturday Surprise November 7th
I think I'm leaning towards TRP with the Firebird. If another track day or autocross pops up later, I might be down for that.

Thankfully I didn't fill the TrackBird tank for a day at Nelson Ledges,
but I will be filling the front tires with 45 pounds of air, 28 in the rear
for a T-N-T at TRP. Get the Bird some numbers.
I believe TrackBird may never have run better then right now.

Great Saturday Surprise November 7th at TRP. Weather was amazing for November. 70's.
Hundreds of racers thought so. But it was also the TrackBird’s Drag Racing debut.
The Bird made 4 passes.
First Pass ---– 1.3317 reaction 2.7529 60 ft. 18.2121 @ 76.16, driver 32V - shift 1,2,5,3,4
Second Pass – 0.3270 reaction 2.6453 60 ft. 16.8173 @ 84.10, driver 32V - shift 1,2,3,4
Third pass --– 0.2873 reaction 2.1432 60 ft. 15.2567 @ 88.37, driver BP
Fourth pass – 0.2143 reaction 2.0508 60 ft. 15.0894 @ 90.29, driver BP
Crazy fun trying to stage a stick shift and then actually shifting.
Anyway, it was really exciting for me! I might need a little more practice.
The 69 Chevelle was there, well into the 12's. The little Red Truck surprised its' owner.
As always, TRP is seriously great fun!

Re: Saturday Surprise November 7th
The day was beautiful from a November perspective, but maybe not ideal for low ET's, so I thought...
After waiting for a track cleanup, I didn't get to make my first pass until about 11am. The DA was up over 1400' at that point so I was really expecting an 11.9 somewhere. I was able to keep the truck cool right up to the very end and the track was FRESHLY glued before my run. This netted me an 11.73 at 117.29mph. My best numbers by over a tenth and more than a mph. I could have gone home happy with that.
My second time run I was first in line again, so again was able to keep the truck cooled down right up until it was time to run. It was noon by now and the DA was over 1800', so again, not thinking it would get any better. I was wrong! 11.67 @ 118.02. This time with NO spin on the 1-2 shift, it felt really strong in the traps and I've used the brakes way more than I ever have to slow down.
After these two runs, I was confident it wasn't getting any faster and was able to jump into the Firebird and make a couple fun passes. I'm confident that with another couple passes and certainly some better weather, we'll be well into the 14's with this too. Quicker than my 5.0 Mustang and 5.0L Trans Am already. I was pretty pleased with the 90mph pass too. It seemed pretty slow after running back to back with my S10, but really pretty solid runs and definitely fun rowing through the gears.

Re: Saturday Surprise November 7th
I don't remember what day this was, but I believe it was from this year. It's a few laps at Nelson in the TrackBird. I believe it was in the Spring sometime, and I remember it was a beautiful day out. Might have been the day the ticking began.

Most likely the private track day I hosted since there looks to be a shoe polish number on the windshield
